Chandrashekhar Belagere – President
A post graduate in Journalism and Mass Communication and a journalist by profession, Chandrashekhara Belagere (Chambe) is a man of myriad dreams. He has a never-say-die attitude and has managed the adversities that came his way without getting bogged down.
In a media career spanning over two decades, he has worked as a journalist for Lankesh Patrike, Samyukta Karnataka, Kannada Prabha and UDAYA NEWS and as a PR Consultant to Sri Basavarja Bommai, former Minister of Water Resources, GoK. He has served as a member of Karnatkaa Media Academy. He is the author of ‘Royist Bommai’, a biography on S. R. Bommai, former Chief Minister of Karnataka. His deep concern for the developmnet of rural India drove him to establish Jagruthi Education Trust in 2007. He has poured all his life’s savings into the development of JETREC.
Shashidhar Bharighat A. R. – Treasurer
A school teacher (thetre) by profession, Shashidhar is a dedicated theatre activist. One of the key and active members of Samudaya, a renowned theatre troupe, he has written and directed several plays in a glittering theater career spanning three decades. His book ‘Sayuvane Chiranjeevi’, a mono play, received wide critical acclaim. He has served as a member of Karnataka Nataka Academy. He has extensive network with cultural personalities all over Karnataka. Shashidhar guides the children of JET School in all their cultural activities.
Prakash Ravandur R.V.- Trustee
Prakash Ravandur holds an M Phil in History from the University of Mangalore. He works closely with farmers linking them to businesses. He has facilitated the construction of more than one thousand vermicompost units in hundreds of villages in Mysore and Hassan districts. He has been providing several farmer-related services in the Mysore-Chamarajanagar region for the last several years. Developmental issues are close to his heart.
Girija N – Secretary
Smt Girija did a diploma in Creche Management, she co-ordinate the pre-school in JETREC. During her biannual visits to the school, she spends several days with children, evaluating their handwriting and performance and giving tips for the improvement of each and every child. Girija mainly focuses on below-average students and slow learners and helps them improve their performance.
